Optimization of Network Throughput of Joint Radar Communication System Using Stochastic Geometry

Recently joint radar communication (JRC) systems have gained considerable interest for several applications such as vehicular communications, indoor localization and activity recognition, covert military satellite based remote sensing. In these frameworks, bistatic/passive deployments with directional beams explore the angular search space identify mobile users/radar targets. Subsequently, links are established users. Consequently, JRC parameters time trade-off between exploration service tasks direct implications on network throughput. Using tools from stochastic geometry (SG), we derive system design planning insights deploying networks demonstrate how efficient detection can augment throughput in a system. Specifically, provide generalized analytical framework to maximize by optimizing exploration/exploitation duty cycle, bandwidth, transmit power pulse repetition interval. The analysis is further extended monostatic conditions, which special case our framework. theoretical results experimentally validated through Monte Carlo simulations. Our highlights that larger bistatic range, lower operating bandwidth higher cycle must be employed Furthermore, reduced success due clutter density deteriorates overall Finally, show peak reliability of 70% link metrics single transceiver configuration.
